Slackline Yoga Workshop Fundraiser
with YogaSlackers Ariel Mihic, Zach
Plerhoples, Mara Raskin & Liz Williams
3-hour workshop followed by dinner. Slackline yoga involves balancing on a 1” piece of webbing lightly tensioned between two anchors. It is a challenging endeavor, yet despite the seemingly impossible nature of the act, it is achievable by almost anyone with a little bit of perseverance and patience. The practice has many layers, simultaneously developing focus, dynamic stillness, power, breath, core integration, flexibility and confidence.
This Balanced Rock fundraising event includes music, a delicious locally-produced dinner, and a silent auction.
The members of team Yoga-Slackers have collectively taught over
5000 people (from 2 to 82 yrs old) to successfully embrace this form of amazing asana. They have developed a special slackline and simple tensioning system, allowing for practitioners to learn safely and experience the benefit of a wide range of dynamic energies while on the line.
This program operates rain or shine. Itinerary is flexible and may change due to weather or needs of the group.
