Edible and Medicinal Plant Walk with
Meg Keoppen & Heather Sullivan

One-day workshop. Join local herbalist, sustainable wild crafter,
gardener, writer, chef, permaculturist and lover of the natural world, Meg Keoppen, for a beautiful walk in Yosemite’s foothills identifying useful medicinal and edible local plants. We will spend the afternoon making tinctures and herbs with the finds from the walk. This workshop will empower you to heal yourself with what is growing in your own backyard.

This program operates rain or shine. Itinerary is flexible and may change due to weather or needs of the group.

Not Included:

Transportation to and from your hometown to Yosemite, lodging, meals, and personal items.

Travel:

The driving time to Yosemite from the Bay Area is 3.5-4 hours and varies depending on traffic and road conditions. You are required to carry and be prepared to use tire chains.

Qualifications:

This retreat is appropriate for all levels of outdoor experience.

Weather:

Daytime temperatures can range between 50°-90° F. Mountain weather can change quickly. It is common to have clear sunny mornings with building clouds and afternoon showers followed by clear starry skies at night. Please check the forecast frequently before your course and plan accordingly.
