MEET MEG

Meg is a Pisces sun, Capricorn moon, and Aquarius rising with a playful love for all things mystical, artistic, and rooted in the natural world. Originally from the Midwest, she first came to Yosemite in 2019 and fell in love with the Sierra landscape. A multi-passionate creative and adventurer at heart, Meg finds joy and empowerment in hiking, dancing, writing, backpacking, martial arts, rock climbing, and capturing the rawness and beauty of the world through photography, drawing, poetry, and prose.

She holds a dual Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri in Spanish Language & Literature and International Studies with a Latin American focus. Bilingual in Spanish, Meg has lived in Spain twice—experiences that deeply shaped her worldview, storytelling lens, and appreciation for culture, place, and language as living, ever-evolving entities.

In 2018, she earned her RYT200 certification through School Yoga Institute in Perú, where she studied Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga with an emphasis on Peruvian shamanic practices. Her teaching style is informed by an extensive background in professional Latin dance, and deepened through additional training in Holy Fire Reiki and Trauma-Informed Yoga (TIY) under teachers like Ashley Seymour, Zabie Yamasaki, and Ashley Turner.

Meg serves as the Director of Operations for Balanced Rock, managing the organization’s finances and budgets, backend systems, and is the creative driver behind the organization’s marketing and social media campaigns. In addition to her role with Balanced Rock, Meg is an artist and freelance creator—she is currently drafting her first novel and finds inspiration in ceramics, nature journaling, and experiential movement practices.
