What Past Participants Are Saying About Our Online Wellness Series…
“This was a wonderful experience. Particularly the subject matter was incredible, super transformative. I was excited by and surprised by the depth of connection that emerged in a short time online. Very inspiring.”
“The instructor for the online classes I took was excellent; even over the video platform she is engaging, caring, and does a great job of instructing without even being in the same room as the participants.”
“I started taking an online class with Balanced Rock during COVID and it was incredibly helpful to stay grounded and connected to community during lockdown. It was the best part of my week to get on Zoom and see familiar faces and learn from my favorite instructors. Thank you!”
“I really appreciate the online yoga classes because they fit my schedule. I also feel more comfortable doing these classes at home rather than in a public group setting.”

Meet Your Instructor
JANAKI PATEL
Janaki's namesake, from the ancient legend the Ramayana, was born from the Earth. It follows that her life’s work is to be with the spirit of the land and Cosmos, while inspiring and guiding this connection in others on their journeys.
A crisis of health catalyzed her own path into Ayurveda and Yoga. Lessons from this, integrated with her training and studies with teachers in diverse lineages from India and the Americas, form the basis of her conscious practice. As an Ayurvedic Health Advisor, Ayurvedic cook, and emotional-energy clearing facilitator, she enjoys guiding and supporting others to come back to balance with this ancient wisdom.
Janaki has also worked in multiple bioregions, with holistic soil regeneration, organic farming with vegetables, medicinal herbs, and dairy cows, and she was an educator and guide in Yosemite National Park for many years. She also creates through traditional claywork, textile arts, and music. Janaki is grateful to all of her human and non-human teachers, the ancestors, and the Divine within and without.
